Hi folks

We are not receiving accurate IP based stats anymore since we are running a three server cluster, but have added Google Analytics to most of MyADSL’s pages to track visitors and page views during September. This does not represent all of MyADSL’s sections, but it does give a good indication of the site’s activity.

The stats are as follows:

Unique Visitors: 186,352 (68.61% South African)
Page Views: 1,598,141

Will you continue to use Google Analytics?
 
Hi Bwana

Some members complained about the international connectivity required for Google Analytics, and we will most likely remove it soon. Maybe run it every few months to track growth.

rpm, did you look into the log merge program I suggested previously? You can just merge the logs of the 3 servers and run combined stats. PM me if you want help with it.

hhmmm...ok, not really to sure about the stats... not very broad or anything solid to make sense of. Maybe only compare to last month's stats.

Cluster servers are not a problem. As fergus said, some different methods have been mentioned for running / pulling stats: log merging, AWstats (free) / LiveStats (not free), etc.
 
Well, TIAL, I wouldnt be surprised if RPM banned your IP or something :eek:

Your probably around a good third of the bandiwdth usage on MyADSL by now ;)

btw, thats an impressive international audience there, only 68,61% South African... But theres not that much int. forumites besides guys that recently moved out.
