I was only online yesterday. My modems drivers crashed and I had to fix that. Was busy with IDPA on saturday. Thats plenty fun.

My hand is forced. BF3 was fine with 2 GB RAM. Upgrading my PC to 6 GB RAM, Win 7 64 bit and a 60 GB SSD tonight.

Would have liked to upgrade the i5 and 5850 but it will have to wait. I'm running either at 1600x900 (20") or 1360x768 (32") so it should be kinda ok.

Upgrade to 4GB, sell your card and get the 7950 from Wootware, skip on the SSD.

Game will run perfect :)

I got the parts on loan until I can do a decent upgrade. Took all night incl doing BIOS updates etc. Runs very nicely. Auto sets everything to high. Win 7 index at 7.2. Happy for now. Will play 3 for a while to get into it again and train my fingers again ... been years ...

SSD is a must though!

Use the SSD as a cache drive, it makes EVERYTHING fast, instead of just the stuff you can fit on it.

Cache drives are for noobs. Having said that a 60gb drive will probably not even be able to take much. You might be lucky with Win 7 and BF4 but thats it

I have a 256gb drive and im sitting at 90gb free and thats with 3 games installed. Would hate to work with a 60gb drive

SSD is a waste of time, great your game loads fast, but I would rather spend my money on gear that actually matters in game.

My PC boots blazingly fast with Window 8, load times are quick, and in game FPS is fantastic on ULTRA nvm High, BF4 all the way.

Take the SSD back and get a decent GPU ;) as SSD is absolutely not a must but rather a fad, do some research into the technology and you will see why I say that.

Do you own an ssd noobie? Its a must as far as Im concerned. Everything is fast on the pc not just game loads but yes depends on what the upgrade will be for. I would rather get the ssd and a slightly lower gfx card but then again I would try push for both :D

I've been using SSD's since 2008. My newish laptop has a 240 GB. The 60 GB for my games PC is a loaner. I won't go back to hard drives.

Maybe his chassis is 2 small for a SSD to fit into.

actually the chassis was built for ssd's :D. however I work with alot of SSD's in my storage network and in reality for gaming show me how it improves your FPS, only thing it helps with is load times and again by how much?

Graphics Card > SSD, fact prove me wrong :p

again you where complaining about poor FPS, so if you want to take a SSD over a decent GPU, well enjoy the poor FPS.
