MyBB guide to quitting smoking

The data costs are now pretty much identical...

Not with the email i get, i get 10-20 artwork emails a day. So for me the data costs are not even close. 300mb would last me less than a week. I could separate artwork and work email then yes it would be roughly the same but i like to see who is sending me emails, when they need the goods and so on so it would be annoying for my clients and myself to have to different emails address for artwork and sales :D.

Anyways BB debate can be had elsewhere.

Second tablet down, only a headache thus far but genpain is sorting me out. No side effects other than a mild headache which i normally have anyhow.

I have figured out the perfect solution.
When a person sleeps, the person does not smoke, hence the conscious mind is not aware of the physical withdrawal symptoms.

Sleep therapy for a week? ;)

Nope take your drugs properly and you will be fine, second day on champix and only a headache. Get some dormicans and sleep for two weeks solid but when you wake up you will be craving a cigi.

Ruby answer this honestly do you want to give up? do you enjoy smoking?

Since my Champix experience, I have quit. I have not bought cigarettes for a few days and not craving one. However, I have to admit that I smoked with cigarette filters for a few days. After the first day, when I flossed my teeth, I nearly fainted. The floss smelled like sh*t. Cigarette filters serve a good purpose. It is disgusting to see the tar left-overs in the filter.

Do I like smoking? No, I think I have made that clear in all my previous post.

Wait so you have quit but you are smoking cigis with filters now? I am confused have you have a cigi in the last two with a filter or without one?

The Momentum ad is simply that - an ad to monetise the app. The app is called Cessation Nation. I'm not sure whether there is a Blackberry app for it but I'm sure Blackberry will have their own inferior version of a quitting tracking app...:p

Found an app, pretty good. Not as good, cost me 15 bucks but it beats being a cheap ass and living with ads. R 15.00 is nothing and no adverts is a win. I don't know why people avoid buying these apps. I hate apps with adverts. How much did that app cost dj, i saw on google it's R1.99 dollars. @ dollars vs adverts hmmm i'll pay :D

O LOL sorry you smoked just the filters, a bit odd but hey if it's working good going.

get an app on your phone to track your progress. Dj put me onto the idea it is awesome, i saw an app that reminds you why you want to stop and gives you motivation but i cannot locate it on mybb world :(, would be great to have an app and when i get that urge or need to have a look at it read it and then yea it will be over.

I thought we could try and fit in a training session: Reading and correctly interpreting what you read

No it should be more along the lines of a training session like this: How to come across like you know you what you have read or wording what your write correctly :D.

Well good to see hear you have quit :D. You said you could do it and you will.

Yeah well, the weather is perfect. It's raining cats and dogs. The entire zoo spread-out around me on the floor. I'm going to crawl back under the duvet just now. Going to the shop for smokes? Nahhh, don't think so.

3 days to quit time.

OMG i love champix. I literally feel like i am living when i dream, it is the most intense amazing state of sleep ever. It is so powerful i wake up wondering if i am still sleeping.

They need to bring out a drug just for this and sell it on the black market, i am going to miss it in 3 months.

Pretty sure you'd tick enough boxes to be considered bipolar. You're more than likely just undiagnosed. :p

Most bipolar meds do the same job...

Its nuts hey? I have the most insane dreams and when I wake up I remeber every detail. It's like going off into an outer world for the night. I love it.

I know i am bipolar but the drugs i tried in my early 20's made me flat, almost like a zombie. I felt nothing and tried a few other drugs for a couple years but nothing really worked, the sides were bad as well, mostly the biting down, clenching my teeth together was a nightmare, zaps omg i thought i was going to have a seizure at times. So i decided to kill one of the worse symptoms and just live with it. Sleep. That is why i have to proof read every thing and leave words out because my mind is on auto pilot when i am doing certain things but i am thinking about so many things while doing something. reading a book is lol, get 10 pages in and i don't know wtf is going on yet i pick up bites and pieces. I should go and try the new drugs but that flat feeling, i dunno i would rather be up and down than be flat. Although i tend to fk up badly and do very dangerous things that endangers my life so i should perhaps try the latest stuff.

Got me some sleeping tablets, cured my insomia but i don't ever want to feel flat again, i would rather try and keep a positive outlook and when the bad days come do my best to get through them as quickly as possible. My mother is bipolar undiagnosed so i tend to try and avoid doing what she does. Talking uncontrollably(although i guess i do that on this forum haha) and i try stay aware of my mood swings. Perhaps bipolar people who quit smoking might tend to get much more agitated and aggressive over other folk. I have noticed of late you seem more aggressive than i have ever seen DJ, it isn't suppose to be an attack and i hope you don't take it as one but have you noticed a change in your mood since you quit smoking?

i look forward to going to sleep, like i have taken my sleeping tablets now so i can go live in another world :D. Bed at 9 for me is something new. I don't know if could live without my world, the only problem with the world is many of the dreams are about the girl who got away. 8 years engaged and an absolute gem and partly because the meds i was made me flat and lifeless. The dreams are amazing but they do haunt me in a but still they bring back the memories of her that i could never bring back awake. Then the other dreams well omg they range from flying dragons, snorting coccaine in some area i have no where. it's just incredible the range of dreams and how real they seem.

I like this Champix thing...

Had my last smoke Thursday @ 11:00. The original plan was to quit Friday but it just happened all by it's self. You tend to smoke less and less after the first few days on the pill.

So - going for my 5th day now. Reasonably easy so far.

That is great, just keep the mental outlook that you dont want to smoke anymore. The mind gets tricky around the 3 and 6 month marks.
