MyBB Speedtest Throttling

Howdy,

I have a suspicion that the MyBB speedtest app (most likely the server side) is throttling SEACOM connections.
I tested on mobile on a WiFi6 AP and an S23+, right under the AP. I also tested on a 1Gbit LAN connection with a similar result.

The results are the same irrespective of when the tests are conducted or whether its using the browser or app.

Seacom doesn't peer with route servers at NAP JHB which means only networks that have private BGP sessions with them exchange traffic. Mybroadband is hosted by Teraco so if you don't peer with the route servers you can only reach these IP's via Teraco's transit provider Vox Telecoms and I doubt they have a session with Seacom so it's likely over another provider before that.

With Google speedtest Seacom probably have a PNI and with speedtest.net it's probably their own on network server or a server hosted by one of their customers.

I only use the MyBB speedtest when entering the comps, other than that I use Ookla.
