But using AtlasOS so the main enshitification is gone and most everything else in an option you can add or remove at will, onedrive, defender, etc etc

That plus their own special sauce configs leaves me with a very clean install, its faster its not really faster in things like gaming or other hardware limited things but I find that its performance remains constant over time, which for me at least windows 11 performance degrades significantly over a few months.

Ubuntu Linux is sort of in it's own corner. Lots of others using Linux out there

KDE Plasma or Gnome would be a more useful metric.

Been using Kubuntu for just a more than a year now on my main machine. What a pleasure and no regular glitches and problems like when I was using windows. Had a slight learning curve but nothing like the uphill battle with each new version of windows. Got an older laptop with win10 on for backup and doing windows things.
