So when did mybroadband move to overseas servers?

Mybroadband is slow as hell for me for the past 2 weeks. Dont know if this has anything to do with their overseas hosting.

I didn't they hosted internationally. Pages load instantly on my side. Feels very local in terms of latency.

Running a tracert shows no signs of overseas hosting my friend. Maybe you should check your internets

Cloudflare typically hides the site endpoints behind their own distributed network to protect them

Usually when I experience slowness it's one of the embedded external services breaking (Ads,Social sites)

Mine also goes there. Do a nslookup on the domain. There are multiple ips. One is for cloudfare.

Who is your ISP and do you know perhaps what Tier 1 ISP they are using?

Given how the internet works and how they implemented the CDN on cloudflare while it could possibly delay you by a few MS but not a huge amount

Using sites like http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/eqRCZk/www.mybroadband.co.za for performance metrics is quite nice,you can see a total breakdown of content in the requested URL and what could be slowing down requests

Who is your ISP and do you know perhaps what Tier 1 ISP they are using?

WebAfrica, not sure about their Tier 1, think they own their own network.

Same speed issue on Vodacom 3G and Telkom Mobile over the long weekend, although I thought it was bad signal. Didn't know about this issue.

they are using a CDN... if you use google dns, that is probably why you are routing internationally...

you should use your local isp's dns and is should route locally.. and be much faster..
