As per title, mycamera.co.za have a photography competition for which submissions end in a few days on Jan 15th, likely at the end of the day. The brief is simply to post the photo representing your best memory for 2012. The winner, chosen by a closed panel of judges (likes/shares don't play any role in any way) walks away with the Olympus Pen E-P3+14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.
Finalists' photos get printed and displayed in the mycamera store in Cape Town for the prizegiving event at the store and for some duration after the competition ends, with the winner being announced on the 29th of January, with the prizegiving likely being on the same evening. The store's staff make for great conversation, and the event itself is also great with regards to networking and having an in-person chat with other photographers. *trying to encourage you to read how the competition works so there's no questions of HOW DOES THE WINRAR GET CHOSEN HOW DOES I ENTERED HOW DOES IT MADED SHURE MY ENTRY GOT THRU etc
*edit* Also I swear I didn't leave this till the last moment to let you guys know - it just never occurred to me I could share it here as well. I'd imagine they don't quite want people to be going out and forcing a 'memory' for the competition anyway, so you're kind of limited to your existing 2012 shots to pick one from during the next few days, I guess.
