One of the founder's of MEW highjacked the twitter handle and renamed it to MyCrypto.
Maybe the two foundeders had some disagreements and decided to split up. But renaming the twitter handle and forking overnight is salty

Personally, I don’t trust any online wallet, no matter how secure they say it is.

Hardware wallets have vulnerabilities too.
Buying a fake one with a backdoored firmware is also a risk.
We always have to make a compromise.

Since MEW original team left with Taylor and started MyCrypto I've been avoiding using either wallets.
MEW announced new team lineup and it's nothing but profile pictures and first names. It looks very dodgy to me.
I think Taylor made a big mistake by stealing the twitter handle but the fact that the original team now are working on MyCrypto is good enough for me. So I will stay away from MEW for now!
