I finished this last night, and I have to say I quite enjoyed it. It's no Mass Effect 2, but for me it's a step forward from the first one. The combat is certainly a lot more fluid and engaging, a talking protagonist really adds to the immersion, and the story was solid.
I would have liked more control over my party equipment though, same as in ME2, and I had a romance bug on me - I schtupped Isabella, but that didn't go anywhere and I ended up getting into a relationship with Merril instead, but the game got confused and treated her as the love interest in the final summary Varric gives, despite the fact that Isabella wasn't even in my party any more.
Speaking of love interests, does anyone else think it's a little
too easy to start a romance with the male characters in this game, when compared to the females? It's a little suprising to get flirt options with Anders and Fenris pretty much as you say "Hi", where with the ladies it takes some work. Hell, you can hit on a certain recurring character from DA:O the first time you meet him, when he's only in the game for like 5 min, and you're already in a well established relationship with one of your femal party members. Does our Hawke have some not-so-repressed tendencies I wonder?
