IS THERE ANYONE ELSE OUTTHERE THAT IS HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING mysignal.exe TO WORK ON PCMCIA MYWIRELESS?

DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION ,AS mysignal.exe. DOES NOT RECOGNIZE PCMCIA

(MAYBE COZ PCMCIA IS NOT LISTED BY XP AS A MODEM BUT AS A NETWORK ADAPTER)

PLEASE HELP ! ! THERE MUST BE SOME CLEVER TECHIES ON THIS FORUM SURELY!!!??

If you've created a DUN connection using the default wireless broadband dialer, MySignal should pick it up. Picks up all my DUN connections, including the Mweb VPN connection. Don't think the hardware matters

Will MySigal run on a handheld Compaq/HP ? Would one then be able to stick the PCMCIA in handheld ?

Have it running on old Toshiba Libretto with USB connection to modem.

can PCMCIA take external connection, have not seen one yet .... nor chicken teeth.

MyDraadloos -Base 36 Bedfordview Signal=9%patch Freq=2518 Gain99db

Pass the Pringles please !

Hello All.

ProASM made the app but I'll answer to the best of my ability.

1) Handheld/PPC device. This should NOT work as the application would have to be re-compiled for the PPC environment. Also, the IPWireless drivers will most likely not work natively in the PPC environment.

2) The Mysignal application is currently configured to find the modem attached as a COM port. So PPPoE support is not an option.

From the research I've done I think it unlikely that ProASM will be adding PCMCIA/PPPoE support too soon. It's a fair bit of graft to support a very small group of users.

The IPWireless site states that the PCMCIA card works with Pocket PC 2002 and probably automatically installs when you plug it in though I can't confirm this [;)]

If we ask really nicely, and promise to give alcoholic beverages as reward, do you thin ProASM will add PPPoE support?

Hi guys, sorry atm I'm in bed with some crazy flu [V]
As soon as I'm up and about I'll see if I can get hold of a Pcmcia card and have a look see what I can do.
