MyUS trustworthy?

Hi guys,

I’m looking at bringing in some Fanatec gear from the US as the parts I’m looking for are in stock.

Does anyone have experience using MyUS buying assistant to get things sent to SA and would you recommend them for a big purchase? (1000-2000 USD)
 
I've used MYUS multiple times before, various US vendor packages combined into one delivery, max probably $400-500 IIRC, but no issues.

DHL SA contact me to settle the import duties before they could fulfil the delivery, but otherwise no issues.
 
Absolutely zero issues with MyUS in the past. As for Aramex, well, that's a whole different story.

Makes Aramex look like amateurs.

One thing probably not applicable in your case, but untick the “pay customs up front” option otherwise the cheapest automatic shipping option doesn’t work as they don’t all offer it.

Also reckon it’s generally a good idea as there is always half a chance SARS somehow misses you as has happened to me in the past, but very unlikely for something this big.

Awesome glad to hear that! How long about did it take to get to you after they shipped it?

Never used MyUS, but almost all my stuff from Amazon.com is delivered by Aramex with no issues in the past 8 years.
