MyVodacom App/Web Bugged

Hi all and to those that can speak to those higher powers to remedy...

Today my data ran out so decided to recharge via the app. Go through the normal process for buying data until I got up until Data Type. Here I was met with only a 7 or 14 day bundles, each only showing 1GB bundles.

Previously I was buying 5GB bundles valid for 30 days.

*111# works as usual but it's not the ideal way for me.

So yah, anyone with a voice inside Vodacom, tell them their app and web needs fixing.

here is what i do, i look at the app Right? 5 Gigs was 289 Rand so i send That amount of airtime which i buy through the Website with a relatives "Cheque Card" and then use the airtime for 5 gigs with double Data.
NOTE: if you are topping up for a prepaid sim or Data contract sim make sure nothing is connected to the Device the sim is in it will eat a little bit of airtime leaving you with less 289 or 550 rand "the prices have changed" but yeah this is how i do it.

The thing is no 5gigs is even an option. Not even 30 days is an option.

^^^ that are my only options through the web/app. Literally have to use *111# to buy 5gigs
 
1gig for R100?????? WTF!!?! I pay 149 for 1gig?!

OP i havnt been able to buy on the stupid app since october last year, there is always something wrong and vodacom have "been looking into the issue"

Are they taking an extended xmas holiday because the app is utterly useless for me, i have to use *111#

yeah contract users it's 100 rand per gig. :/

It's a lot worst than R405 for 5GB which is what I need a month but damn R149. What's worst is through the app there are sometimes double up specials. Last month, when it was still working, I got 2x 5GB for R405.

Right now I'm having to use *111# which is just inconvenient.

Blasted on twitter and got a response from them. First contact was interesting to say the least as their response was, delete the app, reboot phone, reinstall app and try again.... eventually I had to amuse them but needless to say it didn't work. Surprised?

Second contact they have said they will escalate it to technical as other users have also reported issues with the app.

Now for the waiting game.
