N4 safety time

Hi everyone, ill be heading to the kruger national park from pta east in a few weeks time, im not there for long so im trying to maximize my time there by leaving as early as possible here, however i know the N4 is not safe at night, so basically im asking what is the safest earliest time possible for me to start my journey from pta east?

not sure what times the spiking and things are happening there these days

Can't say about the rest of the N4, but close to Mooiplaas it has been quiet lately. Usual spiking times were between 10pm and 4am IIRC.
