N70 Lock to 3G tower

Ok heres my problem.

I live within distance of at least 4 vodacom cell towers - 1 is 3G enabled. Is there a way to lock a nokia n70 to the 3G tower?

Or a bit of a technical challenge: All aerials have polarity - can i point the phone at a certain angle at the direction of the 3g tower that it will automatically select the 3g tower as the signal will be the strongest?

Any help much appreciated.

there's an app for symbian based phones (like ur N70) that'll alow lots of control/detail about ur connection to the cell towers.. I cant rememeber the name off hand, but something like netmon or something, i'll post it if i remember it, unless someone else gets round to it before me..

Netmonitor is not available for the N70.
The phone's built-in antenna is not directional, so pointing it won't help.
What is possible is to find a sweet spot where the 3G signal is strongest or the non-3G towers are weakest.
