hey anyone here with an N70 ever watched a movie on their N70? whats the frames per second like on the N70 when playing videos?

Um, it's not the PHONE that decides FPS, it's YOU. FPS is determined by the way you encode the clip...

ok so if i encode it at 60fps will it play at 60fps? or something reasonable like 30fps?

Why would you want to encode a movie at 60fps?? The default for PAL is 30fps. The playing of Vids is determined by the bitrate. I have played movies on the N70 that were encoded for the iPod with no prob. I used the default Nero Recode settings and made sure the movie is about 350 to 500 Mb once encoded - can't remeber what the bitrate was but for that small screen you don't need to use DVD quality.

ok just wanted to know :) it was just an example, i'll probably encode at 24 fps. i'm just trying to decide if i should go for a d900 or n70.

Yeah, encode it around 24-26 FPS, then it'll look perfectly smooth, just tweak the quality settings then :)

Why would you want to watch a movie on a cellphone? Maybe music video's but movies noooo. To convert music video's on my N80 I use 3gp convert and it gives you a good quality picture, close to dvd quality.Plenty of setting bitrate etc
