N82 Dead

Okay so I've managed to brick my Nokia N82 in under one hour. Took it out of the box, installed Nokia updater software. Did the firmware upgrade and while it was busy updating, wait for it..... my laptop wen't into standby mode.

The phone is completely dead now, tried the 4 finger solute, took the battery out for 30min etc.

Any suggestions?

Congrats, that was fast....how did the laptop go into standby mode?

send it to a real cellphone shop and get it flashed

Yeah I don't know what I was thinking, usually it never goes into standby mode when I'm downloading/installing something. I should've plugged it in to be on the safe side. I've send it back to the shop, they said they'll fix it for free because it's still under warranty.... will have to wait and see.

N 80 "Update"

Updated my Nokia N 90 from Nokia's website a month or so ago- or should I say dondated- Nothing is quite the same after the update- for one the modem has become very temperamental- it only starts working after I start cursing

Now why did you do that?
I would have used it for atleast a week to see if the SW gave me problems then upgrade it.

I know I should've waited but I've read the new firmware fixes a lot of bugs etc so that why I did it straight away. Still haven't heard anything from the shop.. Will probably take a couple of weeks
