Can anyone please tell me if it is possible and how to use a Nokia N95 (from Vodacom) as a regular analog dial up modem to dial a different ISP– what modem settings should I use, are there any special modem initialization strings

thanks

I'm sure there is a way to get an N95 to act as a dialup modem to dial into an ordinary telephone number, but it is going to be expensive as you would be charged per minute [it is dialup afterall] but at cellular rates, the following link might help you find the answer: [searchforum]CGDCONT[/searchforum].

….and it will be slow, if you knew where I am trying to dial to, you’d say I’m mad. I however only need to be connected for about a minute or so, I am dialing to my US ISP

Thanks form the reply, I am looking at the google search results you suggested.
