N95 Available or NOT???

Nokia N95 was supposedly released (or launched) in the beginning of April. The initial batch of stock was dismal and only a select few were able to purchase or upgrade to the phone (or should i say "the multimedia computer that every single person in the world wants immediately).

Soon all stores were sold out and claimed the next batch of stock would come in a few days..

It is now May (4 weeks later) and no one has stock yet.. It's ridiculous..

Is the stock coming soon or has nokia forgotten about us??

Ek kan ook nie verstaan hoekom die fone so stadig in kom nie. Ek het gelukkig een gekry maar ek dink dis pateties van MTN en Vodacom om nie die fone te kry nie.

Hulle is die diens verskaffers en ek is seker daarvan as hulle hard genoeg probeer sal die fone hier wees.

Yeah I imagine the phone is comming - I'm on a good couple of shop's waiting lists already (all MTN shops mind you - in and around CT). I went into one today and the two assistants, standing next to each other, gave me different stories (1 says they will get a couple next week, 1 says they will only get 1 and they don't know when they'll get it).

Good things comes to those who wait, and judging by how much waiting we've done, this phone should be awesome haha.

Good luck with getting one.
 
The crazy thing is that Virgin mobile is advertising the N95 for R400 odd cant remember. Nice to use a R9500 phone on EDGE puke...

But ol VC has no deals ????

R8844- 00 ... major difference to R400.
 
Found one at a MTN shop and it was going for R7500. But she could only keep it for the morning and I was at work. So missed it.

Getting my friends one this weekend to test drive

One things good about this phone is you can sell it at whatever price you want!!:p
Stupid people lol!! Personally the phone feels to cheap... build quality sucks. But its what inside that counts lol!:)
 
I heard that about the build quality, but I will have to see if its going to affect my choice. lol
 
Just phoned the upgrade center - they quoted me R3399 on weekender upgrade. Said they will have it in stock 2nd week of May. HMMM... now is this worth it? Can get the SE W850i for free.

There is huge demand for these phones. All these phones come from Finland. Now the problem is that there is more demand for it than the actual amount of N95's manufactured.

NOkio has enough money to cope with demand, lol just 1 buggy firmware will ruin their reputataion hahaha!! If it happens:p
 
Great to know.... now I cant wait to get my hands on the phone. I had to help my friend in Dubai to get the GPS working. We also found out that the first time it takes a bit of time and after that is much quicker.

Its in my hand, it feels cheap. The button configuration and styling is old and ugly, cheap plastic chrome bits nah uh. ANd the roundness of the button...:rolleyes:

Nah... but its ok I guess.
