N95 Firmware update - 20.0.015

Latest version, google showed several people have had the problem.
 
Hi did the Firmware upgrade in 35 min 3g HSDPA worked like a bomb does any one have any idea where i can get a signed version of rotate me

PLEASE tell me this is not the feature where the GPS follows your movement while driving, constantly updating your location?!?!?! Otherwise, what's the point of GPS then.... wtf?

Yes it is lol... use nav4all... it works pretty well.. and has voice navigation.

Id caution you to not install that.. I did and after that I couldnt reinstall some of my applications like gmail and opera. Keeps giving me an error: unable to install.

See if you guys can get it too work.

lol am i missing something then? i reinstalled firmware twice now and did a restore from my memory card, then installed that file structure sis file and tried to download gmail, and gave me that error.
 
I don't restore anyting. I only backup important files. Then I Bluetooth my phonebook, messages and calender entries to my other Nokia. When I'm finished updating the firmware I just bluetooth it back to my N95.
 
how do i get it to work with the n95 internal gps? It keeps searching for a bluetooth gps

All's well that ends well I suppose ... After much heated exchanges with Vodacare Vodaworld as to my phone's status and what not (long story), I went to pick up my brand new N95 from Vodaworld this morning (about 3 weeks waiting).

It would appear that Nokia themselves couldn't even fix it :p
 
Talking about N95 problems, I've started to have a few myself. Screen blanking out, or switching around & whatnot at the strangest times. Even switching to strange languages sometimes.

I thought a Firmware upgrade would sort me out, but it seems to have made it worse. With ver. 20.**** the screen is almost permanently off, or looks like it has a graphics driver problem, fading from VGA to EGA and then dying.

anyone else ever experienced anything similar? I wouldn't think its the update, it worked perfectly for a day afterwards, but when i charged and switched it on this morning - BSOD. as in black screen of death. phone is on and working, but no screen, or flashes of 16 colour mode screen.
