N95 gps usage

I think the same as it would for you to use your camera for 10 minutes.

lol:D ok thanks guys
But now how does it know where you are at the moment and how does it know if you have to turn or not?
and can you download all the maps you need from you pc internet?

The GPS picks up your location. You don't pay for GPS. It shows your exact location on the maps that you download on the N95. It shows your location as you drive on the map so you can see where you have to turn or not.

The Voice Navigation that you have to pay for gives you voice prompts telling you when and where to turn etc...

There will be other software available soon that has got this Voice Navigation functionality build in.

Well, you should get your phone as soon as it is approved. But if they don't have stock and you do want the phone then you'll have to wait.

This does raise an interesting question (one which I am sure we wont get an official answer to).

If MTN shop A gets 10 phones, would some be allocated to New Contract people and others be allocated to upgrades? Or would it be a perfectly first-come first-served basis?

In my "Highly Cynical Mode(tm)" - I'd imagine that might happen because attracting a new customer may rank slightly above retaining an existing one (especially when they know no other cell provider has this rare jewel of a phone available)

The problem I foresee is that alot of upgrade people are on the waiting lists already and a new customer walking in and not being satisfied might just walk into another provider's shop elsewhere, while as an upgrade person will be more inclined to wait.

My 2c worth (and not even a really good 2c either - just arb end-of-day thought)

Well for my sake i hope you right lol:D
and i also hope that it changes when its my turn to get an upgrade... :p

Someone I know wanted to get a N95 on a new contract. The MTN Store had stock. They told him that it was only for upgrades.

I think maybe it is because everyone wants the phones and they are not going to have the phones lying around for a day when they can get rid of it immediately.

I went to the same store for a upgrade and got it immediately.

So it looks like upgrades are first.

WooHooo!!! I think I've almost paid for the phone already just by the amount of calls I've made to try find one :) (yes I'm due for an upgrade and on a couple of shop's lists already)

Although it is purely speculation, you've just made my afternoon Piesang!

You just ruined mine thanks alot...:o :D

ProjectX - I am sure if you give a few shops a call and tell them you want to take out a contract the second they get the phone in, they'll include you in the "prefered people" list. Be warned though (depending where you are) some of the shops have lists going into the mid 30s already. Seeing how the stock is trickling in, it might be a while before they get through that list.

Try giving your name to some of the outlying shops - I am sure it'll be worth 30min or 1 hour drive if they do get some.

See the thing is i already handed in my forms and now im waiting for them to give me a call..
