N95 - WiFi issue

I use the v.11 F/W and connect to our work net without any problems, Linksys router. I haven't tried connecting to any public hot-spots yet though.

As i was saying, i'm convinced that the v11 fw has a buggy implementation of the 802.11 stack, wrt the DHCP handshake. The problems I'm experiencing (and most other ppl running this fw) have nothing to do with security. I'm running 64 bit WEP on my router and if i input the ip settings manually it works, if i leave it on auto it doesn't, all with the same key.

Did you also try turning off the power saving in advanced settings in wireless lan. That also helps.

Cheers

I'm still on the V 10.0.018 firmware, and have loads of problems connecting to Wifi access points. Always keep getting the "No gateway reply" error. I can use my PSP to access these AP's flawlessly, but the N95 seems to have a problem. Let's hope that Nokia can work this out, and soon.

I've tried disabling Power-saving mode, I've turned off the popup blocker on the browser, I've searched endlessly on the net for a fix to this, and so far I've had no luck. I don't wanna hear about the Manual IP Configuration method, cos that defeats the point of automatic detection, and also I won't always have these config details available to me.

Slighty OT, does anyone know of a PPPoE implimentation for the N95? My router at home is bridged for RouteSentry, so I can't connect the usual way.
