HI guys,
I need some help here

Just wanna find out if any of u have a N97 from Incredible Connection.
I have been searching fro one for cash, not contract. So far the best price (by far) has been Incredible here is a breakdown so far :

MTN : R 10 000 ( depends who u speak to )

Vodacom : R 9000 - R 7600

Makro : R 7600

Incredible : R 6300

Altech Autopage : R 7200

Now on the Altech price , I took the cash to get the phone, but they wanted to sell me some import job that didnt even have the SA charger...so I politely told the guy to get ****ed. I couldn't believe that such a large concern wanted to sell me an imported phone ! I could have got the same thing from Gumtree for R 4000!

anyway, back to Incredible.
The sales lady said that ALL those who bought the N97 from them came back & exchanged it for an I-phone (which I seriously doubt) but she also said that their N97's comes with Vodafone software.

Now I have heard all sorts of nasty things about Vodafone software & i just wanna ask if any of u have bought a N97 from Incredible & what software it comes with.
ps the N97 from Makro also has the same Vodafone software aparently.

please help guys its a lot of money to spend & I dont wanna make a mistake ( like I almost did with Altec Aotupage)

thanks

my friends g/f just got one in the box and doesn't want it. Want me to ask her if she selling it?

go to Game and get them to price beat the Incredible price. Who cares about software, it can always be changed to have non vodafone software on it.

game wont supply it, I tried, & I can flash the phone to remove the Vodafone software, but the warrantee goes out the window . . .

Go to another Autopage and get it from them. I got mine from autopage and the charger is south african. Its on contract and the phone software is not tied to vodafone. So I'm running the latest v20.0.027 software without voiding the 2yr warranty.

The only reason I would get a vodacom/vodafone N97 would be for the vodacare warranty.

U would wait for the N900 if I was you though. Its probably gonna cost the same with a faster processor and Maemo. On the downside it has a smaller battery and no FM transmitter.
