NAFCOC will support ANC

The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Nafcoc) will support the ANC in this year's elections, it said on Friday.

"Our support for the ANC is informed by the rich history and co-operation between the two organisations... and the strides that the ANC has made over the past 20 years to advance the interests of the black business community and the broader society," Nafcoc president Joe Hlongwane said in a statement.

"Despite the socio-economic challenges that still persist and the economic inequalities that have consistently increased over the past 20 years, we believe that the ANC has the correct policies and programmes to address these challenges in the next 20 years of our democracy."

The resolution to support the African National Congress was taken by members of Nafcoc's national executive in their capacities as representatives of 18 provincial and sector chambers.

However, it was explained that Nafcoc was a business organisation with members belonging to difference political parties and every member had a right to vote for whoever they wanted.

Hlongwane said Nafcoc had also thrown its weight behind the National Development Plan.

I have worked closely with NAFCOC for some time. The in-fighting there is identical to the ANC and quite hilarious at times. Just mention a certain trust with the word Silver in its name and you can start a war on a whim.

They also have next to no idea what they're doing at a senior level. They are a consultant's wet dream...

The ANC changed into a corrupt dilemma during the past 20 years, plus the statement by Joe Hlongwane is pretty much one sided on a racial perspective.

I’m not a racist when saying this, but black will vote black, those who provide power will be wooed (until its own destruction). This in relation with the MAJORITY and CERTAIN ELITISTS (and other elements).

I beg that everyone will make the right decision come the national elections.
