As many gamers may be aware the NAG LAN tickets sold out in a couple of hours. Many of us stayed awake until the early hours of the morning trying to get tickets, which should have gone on sale just after 00:00 on the 1st of August.

The idea for this thread is to gather all the complaints against Incomputicket so that it can be forwarded to the relevant people and hopefully next year it will be different.

So please assist with posting valid issues that you experience, like their lack of communication, not receiving the conformation and so on.

For me it is a simple issue, a year's planning down the drain because the Incopmuticket guys messed up and the worst part is they will not even acknowledge their mistake.

While I managed to actually get a ticket, I do agree with your anger. This has now been the third year in a row that rAge tickets has sold out so fast. All because of scalpers. All Computicket need to do is limit the amount of tickets that can be bought at one time to two or three, that should help make them last and give the people more time to buy.

The problem with the Rage tickets are as follows:

People buy them up in bulk. They keep 1 or 2 and sell the other 20 for a profit. This happens every year and I doubt it will ever change. Just wait a while and the tickets should start appearing on here for about double the normal price. Sometimes even up to R 800 each /facepalm

What people should do for one year is boycott buying tickets once they are sold out so the people who bought in the hope of making a profit end up making a loss.

I doubt that will ever happen though.

It should be one per person, end of story. if you want a ticket go get one other you lose out.

The problem is some people buy for their teams who go compete there and thus they need to buy more than one.

But where computicket screwed around is the limit per person should have been 5 and they went and made it 20.

Wow can't believe there is no limit for ticket purchases! Does this happen at other events?

:wtf:

20 tickets per person is nuts, i could five of my together mates to get together and buy 100 tickets.

Sell each ticket for 500 bucks each perhaps even more i have seen them go for 1k. You could end up making 50k fairly easily. imagine you can sell half of them for 1k :D

Which is why it is illegal and these mofos should get prosecuted

sigh, no issues here, logged on around 10, purchased tickets, logged off.
so you missed the boat

Very easy to stop scalping if it happens, dont pay over face value, but I do agree tickets should be limited to say 5 - 8 or so per purchase, or they should increase the lan size, Im sure they could do that?

Is it seriously limited to TWENTY TICKETS per person ?
This explains everything.

I also bought mine around 10 ish.. So if you missed out you must have overslept from trying to buy till 1 in the morning lol.

Although when I purchased it said maximum of 5 per customer, so I don't know where this magic 20 comes from?

Lol, i bought for me and my two bro's as well, and it said max 5?? i think last year it was 20, cos i bought for my group last year, and we bought like 15 fine...

Im so amped for this LAN... hell yeah... will be my fourth... :)

Some people reported 5 some reported 20. We even had a case where a guy was speaking to me on TS and said he saw no limit on the site.

But the best way to stop these guys are not to buy their tickets.

+1 Imagine a guy buying 20 tickets at R 300 and end up with it being useless :D He would then have flogged away R 6 000 I bet you he won't do it again next year :p

The problem with that is that sponsors, etc get the wrong idea about the event - "people buy tickets, but then decide not to go"

Not that I support scalping, but if fewer people show up because of scalpers wasting their money on empty seats, future events will be less awesome.

I myself haven't managed to get tickets, but accepted it as mostly having myself to blame - thought they start going on sale at 12pm instead of 12am(I'm used to 24 hour time format), but still think they could have omitted the time in this case(its not like they could have been sold earlier on 1 August) or at least clarified the time as it still causes confusion on whether 12am is in the day or night
