Nahoon beach closed after shack attack

We've had some close encounters with hammerheads on our fishing skis here on the south coast over the past few days. Thankfully they have been quite small. That looks like the work of a great white or possibly a zambezi.

The authorities missed a golden opportunity to do something about the overpopulation in SA, Should have left the beach open ....

I wonder if they will send out a submarine as was promised to keep the population safe from any future shark run-ins.

Yeah hammerheads look scary as heck but arent very aggressive.
The Zambezi's we get down this side are pretty small and wouldnt take a bite that size. Im not sure we have actually had an Zambezi attacks in EL before, its always Great White's and this is a prime time of year for it.

The ski was busy in two... I believe it was already a mended ski... And how he managed to get back to shore with it is very odd... My first reaction is this was reef damage.
He was paddling with his son at the time, he said that he thought he had just hit a rock until he saw the shark circling him in the water.
So he climbed on to his son's ski with him and got to shore like that. Must have been a scary paddle back half sinking from weight with a big ass shark taking a look at you.
