Namibia Seeks German Aid for Genocide Reparations

I suspect I know some of the stuff Cosmik is referring to. I was watching a Youtube video recently, dished up as science. It was obviously well funded, well produced etc. Except it was totally in the realm of pseudoscience and garbage.

I watched it more out of curiosity than the content. According to the story line, the Egyptians actually used massive magnifying glasses to melt rock, Negroid Africans were actually the guys that built stuff in Central America. So it went on. What had happened is that pseudoscience was abused to drive a narrative.

I tried finding it, seems it's now gone. It's just sad that we have people doing this. In turn it leads to discussions such as this.
I'm referring to this specific study of course there's lots of pseudoscience around anything. It seems reasonable and until proven otherwise, plausible. Cosmik doesn't like its conclusion so he's like nah, not true.

Correct. Here's an article published in The Conversation. Well known for its leftist narrative. Check out the funders of this garbage:

Julien Benoit
Postdoc in Vertebrate Palaeontology, University of the Witwatersrand

Julien Benoit receives funding from The Claude Leon Foundation; PAST and its Scatterlings projects; the National Research Foundation of South Africa; and the DST-NRF Centre of Excellence in Palaeosciences (CoE in Palaeosciences).

It's well known that if the writers don't publish what the funders want them to, they don't get funding. Wits and UCT have both gone down the tubes due to their "progressive" narrative.

The leftist progressive narrative tries to place the entire blame for all bad on the white man while exonerating the black from any blame and assigning victimhood.

Check this out. In it there is this claim:

Lie #8 - Blacks sold other Blacks into slavery.

One of the most unseemly manifestations of Black self-hatred is the often violently held belief that 500 years ago Africans sold other Africans into centuries of slavery. It is erroneously believed that after thousands of years of African life, Blacks all of a sudden collapsed into internecine strife and started killing each other, selling their fellow kinsmen to foreigners for profit.

Yet these are actual statements from black representatives that confirm that blacks did sell other blacks into slavery:

Traditional African rulers whose ancestors collaborated with European and Arab slave traders should follow Britain and the United States by publicly saying sorry, according to human rights organisations.

The Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria has written to tribal chiefs saying: "We cannot continue to blame the white men, as Africans, particularly the traditional rulers, are not blameless."

The appeal has reopened a sensitive debate over the part some chiefs played in helping to capture their fellow Africans and sell them into bondage as part of the transatlantic slave trade.

The congress argued that the ancestors of the chiefs had helped to raid and kidnap defenceless communities and traded them to Europeans. They should now apologise to "put a final seal to the history of slave trade", it said.

"In view of the fact that the Americans and Europe have accepted the cruelty of their roles and have forcefully apologised, it would be logical, reasonable and humbling if African traditional rulers ... [can] accept blame and formally apologise to the descendants of the victims of their collaborative and exploitative slave trade."

And:

Beninese historian Abiola Félix Iroko gave an interview to local media Benin Web TV. He reminded viewers of the real history at a time when anti-colonialists are busy unbolting statues from their plinths and shouting that white privilege should be abolished because of slavery. He explained how Africans themselves took advantage of the slave trade.

This professor at the history and archeology department of the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin) declared on July 25: “When we talk about the slave trade, people only accuse whites. But they came (to Africa) as buyers and we [Africans] were sellers.”

He assured viewers that the sale of slaves was not an isolated phenomenon, since “the king himself sold them”. Abiola Félix Iroko detailed these transactions: “King Adandozan sold the mother of his consanguineous brother (Prince Gakpe) who later became Guézo”. As the Salon Beige website pointed out, he was the ninth king of Abomey between 1797 and 1818.

This historian – holder of a doctorate in letters and human sciences from the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne – did not mince his words: “There are no buyers without sellers, we (Africans) were sellers.”

I'm referring to this specific study of course there's lots of pseudoscience around anything. It seems reasonable and until proven otherwise, plausible. Cosmik doesn't like its conclusion so he's like nah, not true.
The problem is when a hypothesis gets packaged as fact because it comes from a darling in the community. The narrative is kept alive despite being proven impossible simply becuase of "muh cause".

Even now I'm supplying data for a study in a different arena, knowing what we'll find. It has been proven before, yet we have to prove it again, have it peer reviewed etc in a slightly different area of application, no matter how intuitive. It's a PITA. There are haters who will try and disprove it for no other reason because it will further threaten their own positions and egos, no matter the harm it causes.

I have dealt with this type of pseudoscience and narrative for a very long time. In the 1980's there was Liberation Theology. I know it when I see it and just a cursory reading reveals all the signs of a "progressive" leftist lie. It's called StratCom and PsyOps in defence circles.

To the layman it seems entirely possible and credible. In fact, the Soviets were so good at it that they actually got the world to believe that the Americans engineered the AIDS virus to attack them. Many indoctrinated by leftist propaganda actually still believe it is true. It was called Operation INFEKTION:

Operation INFEKTION was a disinformation campaign run by the KGB in the 1980s to spread information that the United States invented HIV/AIDS as part of a biological weapons research project at Fort Detrick, Maryland.

The Soviet Union used it to undermine the United States' credibility, foster anti-Americanism, isolate America abroad, and create tensions between host countries and the U.S. over the presence of American military bases (which were often portrayed as the cause of AIDS outbreaks in local populations).

The groundwork appeared in the pro-Soviet Indian newspaper Patriot which, according to a KGB defector named Ilya Dzerkvelov, was set up by the KGB in 1962 for the sheer purpose of publishing disinformation. An anonymous letter was sent to the editor in July 1983 from a "well-known American scientist and anthropologist" who claimed that AIDS was manufactured at Fort Detrick by genetic engineers. The "scientist" claimed that "that deadly mysterious disease was believed to be the results of the Pentagon's experiments to develop new and dangerous biological weapons," and implicated CDC scientists sent to Africa and Latin America to find dangerous viruses alien to Asia and Europe. These results were purportedly analyzed in Atlanta and Fort Detrick and thus the "most likely course of events" leading to the development of AIDS.

To explain how AIDS outbreaks were simultaneously so prevalent in Africa, the Moscow World Service announced that Soviet correspondent Aleksandr Zhukov discovered that in the early 1970s, a Pentagon-controlled West German lab in Zaire "succeeded in modifying the non-lethal Green Monkey virus into the deadly AIDS virus." Radio Moscow also claimed that instead of testing a cholera vaccine, American scientists were actually infecting unwitting Zairians, thus spreading it throughout the continent. These scientists were unaware of the long period before symptom onset, and resumed experimentation on convicts upon return to the U.S., where it then spread when the prisoners escaped.

The AIDS story exploded across the world, and was repeated by Soviet newspapers, magazines, wire services, radio broadcasts, and television. It appeared 40 times in Soviet media in 1987 alone. It received coverage in over 80 countries in more than 30 languages, primarily in leftist and communist media publications, and was found in countries as widespread as Bolivia, Grenada, Pakistan, New Zealand, Nigeria, and Malta. A few versions made their way into non-communist press in Indonesian and Philippine press.

Claims that the CIA had sent "AIDS-oiled condoms" to other countries sprang up independently in the African press, well after the operation was started. In 1987, a book (Once Again About the CIA) was published by the Novosti Press Agency, with the quote:

The CIA Directorate of Science and Technology is continuously modernizing its inventory of pathogenic preparations, bacteria and viruses and studying their effect on man in various parts of the world. To this end, the CIA uses American medical centers in foreign countries. A case in point was the Pakistani Medical Research Center in Lahore… set up in 1962 allegedly for combating malaria.

The resulting public backlash eventually closed down the legitimate medical research center. Soviet allegations declared the purpose of these research projects, to include that of AIDS, was to "enlarge the war arsenal."

In 1992, 15% of Americans considered it definitely or probably true that "the AIDS virus was created deliberately in a government laboratory." In 2005, a study by the RAND Corporation and Oregon State University revealed that nearly 50% of African Americans thought AIDS was man-made, over 25% believed AIDS was a product of a government laboratory, 12% believed it was created and spread by the CIA, and 15% believed that AIDS was a form of genocide against black people. Other AIDS conspiracy theories have abounded, and have been discredited by the mainstream scientific community.

In 1992, KGB Director Yevgeny Primakov admitted that the KGB was behind the newspaper articles claiming that AIDS was created by the U.S. government. Segal's role was exposed by KGB defector Vasili Mitrokhin in the Mitrokhin Archive. The 1999 book Stasi: The Untold Story of the East German Secret Police describes how the Stasi cooperated with the KGB to spread the story.

Again instead of pointing what is flawed in this study, you throw some fud. Just like Cosmic. WTF are you trying to achieve - ultimate deflection? Well you certainly did that alright.

Look Cosmic talking about the soviets lol. Jesus...

My fok. Is it so difficult? It was evident. People trying to claim the Egyptians and pharaohs were black in ancient Egypt. It's been shown conclusively- slush and klaar. Yet the narrative lives on, the struggle continues, the pseudo science grows ...

This isn't what this study claimed at all. Stop the FUD you fool. You deflect like crazy.

Our analyses reveal that ancient Egyptians shared more ancestry with Near Easterners than present-day Egyptians, who received additional sub-Saharan admixture in more recent times.

ROFL your paraphrase that ancient Egyptians were black is so far removed from what they actually said it's hilarious. Why didn't you quote exactly what they said from the start?

How embarrassing.

The Soviets perfected StratCom. It was the reason they got the UN to declare apartheid a crime against humanity to distract from the communists murdering over 100 million people and focusing on apartheid that killed 22 000 people. 21 000 By the ANC. The left still uses these methods to push a narrative.

You still don't see how this works, despite several examples?

:X3:
Like I said in both instances ...

Look at what I initially posted, not what you want to think. Atm you're like an over-excited Chihuahua snapping at anything and everything.

The leftist narrative about 10 -15 years ago was that Sub Saharan Africans (Bantu) built the pyramids and founded Timbuktu University. Even Thabo Mbeki fell for it and promoted that pseudoscience. Some on the left are still promoting that narrative. It was completely debunked a few years ago by the Max Planck Institute.

But it has become ingrained in the psyche of those who want and need to believe it. Just like the AIDS was created at Fort Detrick myth:
