Hi. I'm looking for a nanny cam solution for a flat.

Needs to be wireless, stream over the net, (preferably to a smartphone app). There is a PC that can be left on all the time.

Ideas. (No cameras in the teddy :) )

Use the web cam ,there is software available for this .Sorry dont have the link

vitamin d or something with a webcam would work well

I have played around with surveillance software that uses webcam.

But it's not for me, so I want it to be a once off setup.

BTW zoneminder looks impressive

Do you have a budget in mind?

And does it have to be covert or not?

If not covert, you could look at the Y-Cam range, specifcally the Y-Cam SD camera: http://www.y-cam.com/y-cam-black-sd/

Disclaimer: I import and sell them as well.

IP (network) camera, wireless and wired, built-in recording onto microSD card and can email when motion detected and per a schedule. Remote live view via your ADSL/3G router and has iPhone and Blackberry and Android viewing clients and also web-based interface.

So therefore no PC required, even for recording.

You can buy from them online as well.

No. Just doing the initial research before deciding on budget. I was thinking just to test a webcam and see how it goes from there.

I'll have a look at the Y-cam. Sounds good.
