My current phone (Nokia 6230) was due for an upgrade on the 1'st of May on Vodacom. I enquired about upgrade offers and chose a package deal of a Nokia 5200 and a Samsung E250 so that my wife also can get a new phone. She would get the E250 and I would take the Nokia 5200. I was initially informed that it would take 3-5 days for this upgrade. I received the Samsung after 10 days (so much for 3-5 days!), and still did not get the Nokia. On Friday 25 May I recieved an e-mail informing me that they do not have stock available. That is exactly where my problem lies. How can Nashua Mobile advertise that they have a specific phone up for an upgrade, but then do noy have stock available of that specific phone? To me that is blatant false advertising. On Friday 25 May I tried to submit a query on the Nashuamobile website, but only got error messages when submitting, and was instructed to call their customer care line, 0860412412, which I did. Customer Care my a$$! The first consultant I spoke to just told me it was not his problem, and blatantly hung up on me! I phoned again and was transferred 4 times to different consultants, before finally being transferred to the person that handled my upgrade. I again explained my problem with the whole situation and said that any other reputable company would offer an alternative. He said he would get back to me and hung up. Needless to say that I am still waiting for him to call back! I have been a customer of Nashua for ten years now, and this is how they treat their loyal customers! It most brobably is because I am not on one of the expensive bussiness packages, but only on a weekender package. I will never recomend them again after having recommended them eagerly in the past. I hope that someone from NashuaMobile reads this post, because I think Nashua sucks!

Cant agree with u more! There is just so many worse eperiences I had with Nashua that I wiuld probably write a PhD thesis about - lol! Bear in mind that whenever u call them you spend your precious free minutes! But I think u should contact their upgrade manager (Robert Dover) maybe he could help. As for the waiting period this is the case with all SPs, they do not tell u that they are out of stock ip untill you have signed everything. First it happened on me with iTalk a couple of years ago. After I signed everything they then told me that they are out of stock. I waited for two weeks then ended up cancelling the contract. To my supsrise, in the third week they sent the phone!! But I sent it back. Even more suprisingly they sent me an invoice. But since I cancelled it over four weeks back I told them that should they deduct any cent from me I will take them to my company lawyers!! Luckily they did not deduct anything.

As for Nashua, I also waited 8 days for my phone recently!! I believe thta we are at the mercy of these SPs, they have us wrapped around their fingers. Just like women, we cant leave with them and we certainly cant leave without them!!!
