Hey all,

I'm currently on a weekend everyday contract through Nashua Mobile. I want to leave Nashua and go directly to MTN or Vodacom. What must i do to cancel my contract there and go else where?

Ive received info from one of my other posts here about a N82 free on MTN's network, and i was wondering if there are any contracts at Vodacom that you get the N82 free?

All help will be appreciated.

A good choice. Six weeks before your contract is due to end call up Nashua and tell them you want to cencel your contract. About two weeks before the end of the contract go to MTN and tell them you want to port.
It is 90% likely that whatever phone you want is cheaper on MTN than Vodacom and significantly so.
 
Thx oronte, will do that...my contract is due to expire in may, so ill see what the price differences are closer to the time :) will probably be much cheaper then too :)
 
IINM, Nashua Mobile requires a three month notice period, vs 1 month for any other SP.
 
wow ok thx for the heads up there fiex, will get that notice to them. Do you think its a better idea to go cancel my contract with them at one of their shops or on the phone?(some of their staff on the phone are rather thick).

Archi, cancel, and INSIST on a reference number. Call again in a day's time and CONFIRM they have received your cancellation. Note the time and the person's name and surname you talk to. These SP's like to play the "we did not receive any notification" excuse to squeeze a little more money out of you.

Hi, make sure Nashua stipulate when you may port as they have considerable penalty fees if you port before the time ...

Good luck! I think the N82 is R239 per month (excl R8 cli) and comes with 2 years navigation and a 2 GB memory card, sweet :cool:
