Since I signed up with Nashua Mobile on 1 Oct 2009, I have had two months in a row of over charging. Long story with multiple invoice errors by them.

Is it possible to cancel the contract based on this? Obviously I do not want to pay any penalties.

What should I do?

I understand, but I pay for a service where money should not be stolen from me. Now I have to monitor each invoice in detail for the rest of the contract, so I do not get what I am paying for.

Can I complain to the Onbudsman about this?

Have you taken this matter higher up in Nashua and tried to solve it inhouse with them? Did they give you a explanation for the billing errors?

i was hijacked my phone was used to the value of R18000 by the syndicate (calls to nigeria, venezuela and libya) they took over 24hrs to cancel the sim after i phoned them. their response?? sorry sir, our legal team will look at it, that was nearly a year ago, but they debted my account that month. seriously would suggest you keep as far away from them as prossible!!

No, I should not have to do it, since they should be able to notice their own mistakes.
No explanation. This stuff probably happens constantly with them.

I realize that now. Too late for me I guess. I will just have to suffer.

@ solar...locking a line is normally done via the service provider. With VSP the procedure is that the line gets locked immediately when reported via the call centre or Vodashop for exactly the reason you are talking about.

@ Johan....billing with VSP for example is a hightly automated process and does not pass through the hands of a actual person before it gets sent to you. I have seen instances where VSP will pick up a general billing error and the affected customers gets notified via SMS regarding the nature of the problem and pending credit. This has only happened once or twice since I have been in the industry. I unfortunately do not know what or how Nashua billing system works etc.

Sorry that I can not help you further regarding this matter, but I am VSP affiliated and can only assist properly with VSP related queries. But thought I would just mention that cancelling a contract for billing issues that has been since rectified with credit notes is highly unlikely.

Then some law should change to protect us consumers. Was it not changed recently?

my account has many of my employee's on the account, nashua said they would do it with "immediate" effect. this is not the first time we have done it via nashua "customer service". voice recordings with the callcentre mysteriously have disappeared. hmm.
