Can anyone make suggestions on where to take this to.
On 29/09 I went into Vodacom and requested to port to them from NashuaMobile. As I understand it the process works that the new service provider makes the request. This then gets accepted by the old service provider, then the new provider can initiate the porting process.
Also, ICASA regulations state that : "The donor side shall respond to requests from a recipient side, and affect any actions requested, as soon as possible and within one hour where the responses or actions are required as soon as possible"
On 30/09 I sent an email to Nashuamobile because they hadn't accepted the porting request - No reply
On 01/10 I send them another email, but at the same time I lodge a complaint with ICASA. Now Nashuamobile reply, but say they never received the request. Since I saw the guy at Vodacom create the request on his system I knew it had been created, so I got them to send me proof. Still Nashuamobile claim they never received the request. Late in the afternoon of 01/10 I get an SMS from Vodacom saying the request has been accepted.
Yesterday (02/10) I go to Vodacom to do the actual porting and notice that a new months worth of airtime as been loaded from Nashuamobile. I have told them to reverse this as I will not pay for it since if they had responded to the porting request timeously I could have had it done before the new month.
Nashuamobile still claim they have not received the Porting request!!!
Has anyone had similar experiences? ..and if so, what was the outcome.
