NAT type 2 on Vodacom broadband

Hello,

My NAT type is always type 3 and its not ideal for online gaming with friends.
Can anyone give me any information on how I can maybe apply/appeal to Vodacom to have my LTE service be permantly on NAT type 2?

Ive tried port forwarding and DMZ setting on my Huawei B535-932 router but never works.
Ive also tried to set the APN as unrestricted but it kinda worked once and I cant explain how but then it never worked again.

Unfortunatey, there is no better ISP/technology in my area otherwise I wouldve jumped ship long ago.

Appreciate any advice.

I'm interested to see how this develops, but in the meantime:

Have you tried running a wireguard config on the router?

Alternatively, have you tried Cloudflare WARP+?

Thanks for the reply.. Ill give wireguard a try since, from a very quick skim through, it might work for my ps5.

Presumably you are referring to PlayStation NAT types?

You’ll need to get on the Unrestricted APN from your provider to have any chance of NAT Type 2.

There is a form you fill out, google Vodacom Unrestricted APN form.

Then send it to them.
