The DCM (Don't Contact Me Database) helps you to make sure your address, email address, telephone and cell number are no longer available to organisations, who are members of the DMA, who want to make offers and send information that you do not wish to receive.

How do you update your details?
I am unable to change details once they are in.
 
It's only applicable to companies that are members though. The CPA database will be applicable to everyone, whenever they decide to get around to implementing it.

Meanwhile, in the present, I am doing what I can to save myself from being spammed and irritated by these folks :)
 
I don't like this idea of an opt-out database. They should have an opt-in database rather. The default should be that no-one is allowed to market to you unless you specifically give them permission.

Agreed. I'm not comfortable having to give out all my details to the people I don't want contacting me...
