Just got a call from someone claiming to be from the NCR.. Told me a story about how they want to confirm all my interest bearing account details and then the NCR will penalize those credit providers who will subsequently reduce the interest rates on those accounts..
I then asked what the maximum interest rates the NCR prescribes for all different credit products and she rattled off 8% for mortgages, 7% for vehicle finance etc..
When I then said that these low figures don't line up with what the NCR website states, they hung up the call..
