just wondering what you people thought about the near future of ADSL, seems after my first 6 days online i ran into the "cap" and can no longer get to international sites. sadly i dont surf too many local ones.

What are the odds of lifting the Cap?

Whats the chances that we can get pings in the <100s for international sites in say the next 12 months?

You can lft your own cap -

Should you require additional bandwidth you are allowed to purchase an additional account from 0800 500 200. The additional accounts won't be billed on your Telkom account and you will be able to settle your subscription via direct debit order or credit card.

And the ping times: Well, it does take time for a signal to run any distance. That is the law of physics against which even Telkom can't argue. I know that <100 ms pings are impossible, but I'm not sure what the minimum ping would be.

It's great that we can now order a second account if need be. Although I <b>strongly</b> disagree with having to pay more for a service that should be included in the ridiculously high price we already pay.
