Standard Bank as well, got a credit increase on my Credit Card and almost immediately had the 'Bank' call me for FICA reasons
So it seems they work with Bank staff, so sad that the OTP I gave them didnt work :-(

So what is Nedbank doing to monitor suspicious withdrawals? Also assist in tracking down what happened so you know what went wrong. They become cagey just in case it points to somebody in the bank or highlights a weakness in their own App or processes. They have a role to play - what are they doing?
