Does anyone know what "rejected due to validation" means whilst trying to make a payment via nedbank eft. Need to pay a loan and its rejecting payments. Is it possible their account is dodgy?

Might mean you have a digit incorrect in the account number or the wrong branch code.

"Validation" in this context means that Nedbank's automated system can't match the data you are giving it to the record in the system.

Don't know how it works with Nedbank, but at FNB you can validate your cards online through their online banking.
Log in, go to accounts, select the cards tab, and then validate the card there.
Or something similar....

You also get this error if you paying from an account or credit card that has a daily payment limit on. This does seem to be some new change that Nedbank have put in, as I wanted to transfer from my credit card to current account and also got the error, which I have never previously got when transferring similar amounts in the past. I just had to transfer smaller amounts over a couple of days.

Most likely there is a problem matching the account number with the bank branch number. This happens a LOT with zero padded account numbers, i.e. 0012 3456 78 vs 12345678 type thing. Maybe try adding the loan agent as a beneficiary, see if you can get that right.
