Can someone link me a normal 38mm socket that does not cost R400 from takealot

Been looking for one can't find one, I must be blind

Most of the hardware stores here in Durban stock these. I picked up a 38mm and an extender a few moths back from Builders Warehouse.

Might be easier to just drive somewhere and pay someone to loosen it. Whats it for?
Bloody washing machine needs a new gearbox, but the tub has 38mm nut and I got an open end wrench but no space to fit it,

Going to try Midas

Found that one as well just that I am about 300km from one
Adendorff delivery is excellent, ordered hose clip tool and jaw band clip plier that was delivered quicker than Takealot. They might charge more for delivery but the tools where still cheaper than just buying the clip tool from my local Midas.

On most machines you will need a 38mm deep socket and an impact driver , the centre piece comes up into the socket and prevents you from putting the ratchet in far enough , or weld another socket on top of the 38 mm for that extra clearance .you must also replace the spring washer and the rubber seal under the drum if it has them, take photos of the seal ,which way is up .get the right tool otherwise you will destroy the gearbox and drum when it comes loose ,there are no shortcuts with them ,you cannot torque it without the proper socket,1 1/2 inch ,find a friendly truck mechanic .

Thanks for the tips, I will try my best. It's an old defy one.

Got a replacement washing machine but using the old one for dirty rags and mats, stuff I don't want to use in the new one.
