Hi guys/gals

My Opel Corsa Utility 1.4 (2005 model) is due for a major service + cam belt.
Got a quote from Williams Hunt for R6000

I would normally service my car at the dealer, but this quote seems a bit pricey
I did get a 2nd quote from another dealer for almost the same price (R5500).

Does anyone know of a dependable mechanic in the Randburg (and surrounding) area that could help ?
Even If he just does the cam belt !

Thanks !

That is actually a very reasonable price.

Keep in mind that should you want to replace your waterpump and/or thermostat on these cars they also need to take the cambelt off. It is a very labour intensive task. That is why it is recommended to replace those along with the cambelt since you will save a lot in future labour costs. I think all in all you are looking at about R8k then, or at least that is what I paid for such a job 4 years ago on a 1.6 Astra.
