My trusty old radeon x1800xt decided to throw in the towel today, so I'm on the hunt for a replacement card.

Considering the fact that I'm broke, I only want to spend less than R700. I want to be able to run two LCD's (preferably dvi) ... and thats about it for now. Being able to play starcraft II and diablo III at any level of detail would also be a big plus :)

Any suggestions? I like the look of the Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD4550. Will dual dvi-i run the same as normal dual dvi output?

thanks :)

I'm not firmliar with ati cards but I know the 9600GT requires a pci-e power connector and a 400w power supply according to xfx, just check you have at least 20 amps on your 12 volt rail if you decide to get it else you gonna have to spend money on a new power supply as well. I think the 9500 comes with dual dvi but it isn't a great performer .

The 4670, if i recall correctly, does not need pci-e connector since it uses very little power so you wont need to worry too much about a new psu or connectors

I'd rather say take the 4830 from prophecy. That is about the same as a 8800gt/9800gt.
