Budget/Size?
Electric/Gas?

After having owned a few throughout the years I would recommend one of the "German" brands (Bosch, AEG) etc - they are often on special at shops that sell a lot of them. On face value the other brands seem cheaper, but the German brands are worth it. Much more energy efficient, long warranties fixed on site etc.

Starting at around this: http://www.bosch-home.com/za/products/cooking-baking/ovens/built-in-ovens/HBA11B150Z.html#tab2

a quick google at a local supplier: Starting at around R3500.

and the fancy one about R5500

is your current stove a built in one or are you wanting to go that route now that you are needing a new one..? if you have a current built in stove, are the control knobs for the hob located on the stove or on the hob..? if on the stove you will very likely need a new hob as well.. in that regard i would suggest getting a gas hob.. really nice temperature control when you want quick increase or decrease in temperature and it lasts really long.. been cooking on a 3kg bottle of gas for the last 5 months.. use it about 3 to 4 times a week..

Thanx for the info, we have a separate gas hob installed. Our defy double built in oven suddenly just died completely. I still need to check if the oven have fuses. And if there is not a electrical problem somewhere, but we want to move the oven anyway so it might be worth looking at 2 separate ovens side by side.
