Need ADSL - Help

Hi

I want to get ADSL Uncapped , the price always causes a problem however i have not done any research to see what are the current deals etc.

I need something that is a maximum of at least R300 a month ( total cost including line rental) ...is that even
possible?
I know the line rental will be expensive :/

i am currently paying for mtn uncapped mobile data at R300 pm and the speed is absolutely slow!

What speed are you getting on MTN at the moment, could you do a speedtest for us? : http://www.speedtest.net/

But thats R97 more a month than your budget.... These are the cheapest i could find and ive used afrihost for a long time and been very happy with them. not sure if 2mb/s would be enough tho so maybe run a speedtest and post back

You won't get any ADSL below R400 a month. The analogue phone line is R160 or R170, and the 2 Mbps ADSL line cost another R170 per month. So that is already R340 per month without any ISP. Depending on your needs you can get a capped or uncapped account, but a 2 Mbps uncapped account starts at around R200 pm. So you have to up your budget to get ADSL.

Isn't there a 10GB cap on that MTN deal? After which they throttle you to very low speed? If you are using below 10-20 GB a month then ADSL is not really worthwhile.

The 1mbps premium account has a threshold of about 100GB's for a 30day rolling window.
