Brand names are mostly a matter of personal choice. All the major brand-name manufacturers essentially have the same components inside of them and all of them will have a problematic laptop in their line whether its a once off or on occasion, an entire model defect (this rarely happens). What you have to look at is the build quality and your prefered aestheics of course. DELL usually has a three year warranty which is nice but you can get extended warranties for other brands as well.
You did not mention budget. The laptop(s) you mentioned in the link in your post is the complete opposite of your requirements. The Asus ZX53VW is what would be considered a high end gaming laptop, with dedicated graphics and a SSD drive. For your requirements that is complete overkill. But if your budget allows for it then by all means go for it. You can never have too much power and you'll be able to completely enjoy the entire spectrum of the PC world with a laptop like that for quite a while at least. For an idea on price the comparative:
Asus Rog Strix GL553VD-DM049T / / GL553VD-DM548T is priced at about R15000 or the
Msi Cx62-7QL-032ZA is about R13000. Both laptops are similar to this list of laptops you had in your link.
Then again for your requirements as mentioned we can scale completely down. You wont even need an Core i processor. A dual-core Celeron would be sufficient if that is truly all you are ever going to do with the laptop. The following will do the job nicely
Asus VivoBook F541SA-Xo212T / F541NA-GQ340T priced at R4500 or if you would prefer a decent amount of more power the
Asus F541UA-GQ1608T at R7000 will be more than you require.
The above are just examples of prices. You could go for similar specs in any of the major brands which would be all be similarly priced.
