I need to purchase an entry level laptop for work. Thing is, I'd prefer one with Vista OS. Any one can recommend an online store >?

Give me a price range and PM me your e-mail address ... and I will send you a quote. I have access to almost every single laptop out there ...
Also, the prices on my website can be used as a guideline, but I will do better prices for you.

Regards

Itai

Why the hell would you actually WANT Vista? It is the spawn of Satan. I'm aware of people trying to find laptops that DON'T have Vista pre-installed, but chances are high if you actually want that beast you could pretty much buy any laptop and it will have it :(

I find that acer has the best price to performance ratio. bit that's just me. everyone has their own opinion.

I need Vista license for my desktop which I shall swop out with XP on the laptop when SP1 is out ;)

Still no solution to your FF problem?

[ot]Ya, I'm just working on the complete overhaul of my site with the developers ... I'm hoping it will be ready in about 3 or so weeks.
Thank you for the input though.[/ot]

With Vista??? I'm looking for a entry level laptop as well but without Vista, I don't care that it's new, I want XP. Between 5K and 7K. Just for programming and the net, long battery life, decent display, dont need a huge hard drive but would prefer going big on the RAM maybe a gig of 2.

Asus X50R-AP170P - Windows XP Pro - R5900
Gigabyte N521U-165 - Windows XP Pro - R5900
Gigabyte N521U-205 - Windows XP Pro - R7100
LG K2-2279AB - Windows XP Pro - R7100 (most expensive feature wise)
Only problem with these is they are only 512mb ... and the first two and the LG are both Celeron.
You would have to pay another R470 for an extra 512mb DDR2 533.
Also ... the battery life on these is the standard 3 - 4.5 hours

i have a acer aspire 9300 and its on vista with NO problems what so ever. the preformance is great but would reccommend a laptop cooler(which i have) because they do get hot!! Playing Doom3 on this laptop is no sweat.:D

here is some cheapeeees.
hp 510/530 6310/7300
dell d520/d530.
acer has lots of cheap ones now days.
or maybe slightly used fast laptop you can get at good price.
good luck.
