Currently I am undergoing treatment for mental illness, but before I am receiving treatment for my mental illness it affected my tertiary education studies as I dropped out of university I would like to continue my studies but I dont know what to do next

How were your marks before you dropped out? If you weren’t academically excluded, you should be able to jump right back in (although you may have a few issues if you just disappeared without deregistering).

unfortunately I did not deregister I am going to apply for my latest results but I dropped out at the start of the year before exams

Best bet - go talk to someone at the university and tell them what has happened. At the end of the day only they can advise you correctly on what their procedures would be.

Check if the university has a Disability Unit or similar unit. They would assist in cases such as yours.
