That's a difficult one to answer. I have a low tolerance for these type of callers.

If you got as far as you did with them, I may very well help you. But these days I drop the call very fast.

This has all happened on WhatsApp. With mostly voice notes.

I agree, or maybe get the owner of the number to recover the password and give it to me - that has no risk for him

I have given them the account username and password. I have asked them if they can do it for me I would appreciate it and that way they would know exactly what is being done and they can remove their number from the Google account themselves. But still they won't budge.

I had Twitter back in the day lock my account due to a hack attempt and the recovery number i also lost.

Tried everything and couldn't get it back so had to open a new one
