Hi there,

have two cables running from a twin LNB into a 2x6 multiswitch. One cable going into the 18V and the other into the 13V input.

Two cables go from input one and input two on multiswitch to the HD PVR inputs.

It works but the viewing is breaking up and then all of a sudden the decoder loses signal.

What could the problem be?

Not sure if it could be the twin LNB or the multiswitch?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Well currently there is only a one tuner PVR yes but soon there will be another decoder 1110 connected for extraview.

It's probably dish alignment, but it could be everything from a tree in front of the dish, to a bad connection behind the decoder... and everything in between. A good installer with instrumentation should be able to pick up the fault in minutes.

In the mean time, bypass the multiswitch, connect the cables from the dish directly to the PVR. If this doesn't help then you should call an installer.

Is this the former Gerrit377 who I see was last online a couple weeks before this Gerrit registered :erm:

Which model one tuner PVR is it?

If I remember correctly, the other Gerrit377 was from the Northern Cape... Now GerritN7... The N7 runs through the Northern Cape...

I'm sure its the same one... it ends posts the same way.

Gerrit, you need to go for proper training if you are going to be charging people to do installations and troubleshooting of DSTV installations.
