Need Broadband for my Old Man

I'm living in the UK now, so I am really out of touch with the state of affairs with regards to fixed broadband in SA.

I used to be with Web Africa, but I am still getting invoices from them even though I left SA in 2013, having been fully paid up, and having moved all my domains to Elite Host long before I left. I have given up with WA because I get reminders on a monthly basis for domains I have with Elite.

I want to pay for my old man's broadband, reliable, uncapped, reasonable speed - anything better than the 2GB allowance he is paying for right now, with no hassles, because I have enough on my plate as it is, without trying to sort out issues with broadband in South Africa.

Suggestions, please?

He is in East London, Gonubie, so I am sure he can get service.

Is he serviced by RAIN?

If he is then I think that will be the least hassle.

RAIN LTE is availble from most service providers.
Signup is not that complicated.

Once the SIM and device is received the SIM must be inserted and PCs either wifi/cable connected.

No admin logins and access details to be entered.

From threads here... One supplier offers R499, others R549. Some charge for the router upfront others give it free. It is month to month. If services are cancelled then the router must be returned in good condition or be paid for by the person. But at least no buy-outs of contracts.
And at the mebtioned price he will get 110GB data per month.

He's with MTN, for some strange reason.

I just want him on a fixed line ADSL, because he already has the line, so uncappped ADSL shouldn't be a stretch.

I'll pay for the slowest uncapped ADSL (slow, because he ain't gonna go very fast) - at least he'll be able to share photos with his mates & family & read the news.

Remember the phone line currently does not include the ADSL line rental. So you/him would be in for not just ISP fees additional, but also the ADSL line. IF there are ports availble on his local exchange.

I am fully aware that you guys are getting ripped off from dizzy heights with ADSL. I have 40Mbps uncapped ADSL for £26pm, with an additional £7.5 for 1000 minutes to SA to any landline/mobile. It makes my blood boil when I think how they're ripping you off.

I just want my old man to not have to limit himself when using the Internet, because I think he'd have a lot more fun if he wasn't constrained, so what is the best option, including line rental, please?
