Hey peeps..

can u plz do me a HUGE fav...

take down the value that u get with all your phones (filtered devices) plugged in.

and THEN!

unplug all of them - and leave just the ADSL in

what do u get before and after.

How do you work out snr?
 
i'm getting an ugly one:

when i have all my phones+adsl in - my SNR for example goes like this 20,21,20,21,20,21,21

but the moment i unplug all except the adsl line - my SNR drops by 8-12!

i would have expected an increase in SNR - not a drop - and not by that margin..

have tried other filters
 
Got no "SNR"

Your noise margin is your SNR bwana ;) Signal to noise ratio I think is what it's called.

Btw. I'm way to lazy to do what you asked Oupa ;) :D :p

Nah its cool

I’m so g*tvol struggling with my crappy line - after 2 years of battle (about 20 refs) I’m going to lay down the complaints/struggle.

Just nothing positive is happening...

sitting with 5 routers,2 ups's, 6 diff rj11 + 12 rj45 cables , 6 diff phones , 5 pairs of different filters.

And yet a BLOODY technician yesterday tried again to tell me (which attendend his first time to this specific problem) - sir it’s your equipment via phone - when he came over he walked away with "sorry eish - I don’t know what I can do - its DATA's problem - not cable ...DATA says its cable's problem - and that they are not allowed to work together on a problem"

whatever Telkom - you guys cannot provide a proper service - we are expected to pay 100% our bills (thus meeting our end of the bargain) - and what about your side (- nah - it’s ok if we provide you with a s**tty service black or white support included)....take it or leave it.

Well that’s it...the ant can't fight the elephant - so I’ll gladly give my money to neotel and wimax.

Not going to keep on stressing/getting mad/pi$$ing in their pool...

Just pathetic!!!!

My final rant about this.

un plugged my phones from the socket.. jis pulled the filter out from main box

Checked the SNR after 5min and also switched the router off and back on again to make sure

My SNR still remains at 27.
