Hello guys,

I am going to buy this SSD from TakeAlot tonight, because my OS HDD broke...

Is it the best bang for the buck? Any feedback is welcome!

PS: Ballpark is R700 max, so this is a great deal for me. :D

Moderator could you please delete my other thread...
Connection was slow, so my page loaded and made a duplicate of my same thread.

EDIT: mybroadband website takes forever to load? All other websites is fine.

I did a little research, and I am considering in buying the Samsung EVO 850 120GB. It is R300 more, but performance wise it is a lot better.

Yeah the write speed on that SSD370, particularly the 128GB, looks quite poor. I wouldn't buy unless you're really struggling for budget.

Agreed @FuLL_Met4L. rather pay extra for better performance. I know Samsung makes the best SSD's on the market. That EVO 850 also has a 5 year warranty! Which is really nice.

You'd also do well to look at the Crucial BX100 series. If you're looking for a great value / performance SSD, from my research I understand that it's neck and neck between the Samsung EVO 850 and the Crucial BX100 product lines!

That is really interesting! I thought Samsung was king of the hill! I'll check now...

I saw them on TakeAlot, the 120GB version is the same price as the EVO 850 120GB. So, do you like black or white & blue? Haha.

At the same price the Samsung 850 EVO's are better no doubt. The Crucial BX100's have had some fairly good pricing and are pretty damn close to as good as the Samsung's. The 250GB BX100 is often priced VERY competitively on sale.

I know Takealot and Wootware are both selling the 850 EVO 120GB on sale at the moment. I'd buy from Takealot in this case as shipping will be free.

I totally agree with your reasons, I will definitely go with the Samsung EVO's. :p
